How does ordering work?

Choose a species and strain, pick a spore syringe or spore print, and add it to your basket. Check out as a guest with your delivery details; no account is needed. We show you how to pay and an order reference, and dispatch once your payment arrives.

What's the difference between a spore syringe and a spore print?

A spore syringe holds spores suspended in 12ml of sterile distilled water, ready to apply to a slide; you choose its spore density, Heavy or Lite. A spore print is the spores themselves, deposited by the mushroom cap onto sterile foil, which keeps well and lets you prepare your own slides.

Are spores legal in the UK?

Spores contain no psilocybin or psilocin and are legal to buy for microscopy, taxonomy and identification. Cultivating mushrooms that contain these substances is illegal.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer, or cash by post (which saves 10% on your items). After you place your order we show you the payment details and your order reference.

How quickly do you dispatch?

All products are dispatched within 3 working days. Some same day.

Do I need to give an email address?

Only if you choose Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, so Royal Mail can send you tracking updates. We never send marketing emails.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, for spores. Grow kits, grain spawn, substrates and tools are sent to UK addresses only. See the shipping page for countries and rates. Check that spores are legal to import where you live.

Do you use cookies, JavaScript or tracking?

None of them. There are no accounts, cookies, scripts or analytics. Your basket is carried in the page address as you browse, and nothing about it is stored until you place an order.

All spore products are sold strictly for microscopy, taxonomy and identification purposes. Do not attempt cultivation: mushrooms containing psilocin or psilocybin are Class A controlled substances in the UK under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
