1. About us

This website is run by Mylocybe, a partnership in UK, trading as Mycoscopy. You can contact us using our contact form.

2. Purpose of sale

All spore products are sold strictly for microscopy, taxonomy and identification purposes. Spores do not contain psilocybin or psilocin. Cultivating mushrooms that contain these substances is illegal in the UK under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. We will not sell to anyone who tells us they intend to cultivate, and we may cancel any order at our discretion, in which case we refund anything you have paid in full.

3. Age

You must be 18 or over to place an order.

4. Orders, prices and payment

When you place an order we show you an order reference and how to pay; this is your offer to buy. A contract is formed when we dispatch your order. Payment is by bank transfer, or cash by post, using your order reference. Orders not paid within 7 days are cancelled.

Prices are in pounds sterling. If we have made an obvious pricing error we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Delivery

See our shipping page for dispatch times and postage. The goods are your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us. International customers are responsible for checking that importing spores is legal in their country and for any import duties or taxes.

6. Your right to cancel

You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it by telling us through our contact form. Please return the goods within 14 days of telling us, at your own cost, and we will refund the price and standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving them.

Because our products are sterile, this right does not apply to items whose sterile seal or packaging has been opened after delivery, as they cannot be returned for health protection and hygiene reasons.

7. Faulty or incorrect goods

If anything arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you, including any postage. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for any use of our products other than the microscopy, taxonomy and identification purposes they are sold for. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Law

These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
